Galway company wins All Ireland Landscaping Award again

Moycullen company Radharc Landscaping has triumphed again at the Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland national awards ceremony, receiving the prestigious Bog Oak Trophy for the best landscaping project in Ireland.

The National Landscaping Awards ceremony took place last Friday night in Mullingar, celebrating the best in Irish landscaping. Radharc, which also won this coveted award in 2004, was once again deemed honoured for its project in the Large Private Garden category. The award was presented to directors Charles Hosty and Brian Whyte by Minister for Food and Horticulture Trevor Sargent.

The 25th anniversary Landscaping Awards ceremony was compered by a number of dignitaries and celebrities, including TV garden supremo Diarmud Gavin. Radharc Landscaping is the only west of Ireland landscaping company to have won the Bog Oak Trophy award.

“We are delighted to receive this award, especially in this year, which has been a challenging one both in terms of weather and economics,” said Charles Hosty. “It’s great for all the team, who work so hard to get the best results for our customers.”

Radharc Landscaping, which is celebrating 21 years in business and employs 30 people, has been raising the standards of landscaping in the west of Ireland. It continues to improve and diversify its services to both residential and commercial customers. In addition to offering the complete landscaping package, its subsidiary, Lough Corrib Nurseries based in Moycullen, provides a great variety of quality trees and shrubs.

Radharc offers top quality landscaping at an affordable price. “Good design is the key and saves you time and money when planning your garden,” said Brian Whyte. “Budgets must be considered. We want all our customers to enjoy their garden. If they are not happy, we are not happy.”

Radharc Landscaping has achieved the Bord Bia Quality mark for a number of years and in 2008 received a special Environmental Practice Award.

Radharc is continually reviewing its services and is ready to roll out another new service, Dream lawns hands-free lawn maintenance.

“We start with a free lawn analysis service and free quotation,” Mr Whyte explained. “We then treat the lawn every three months using highly effective top of the range fertilisers, and weed and moss controls that are not normally available to the public. This results in a first class healthy and weed-free lawn at a cheaper cost than doing it yourself.”

Radharc Landscaping and Lough Corrib Nurseries are based on an eight-acre site in Ballinahalla, Moycullen. For more visit www.radharclandscaping.com
