AMP anniversary showcase

THE ACCESS Music Project 2009 students will take to the stage of The King’s Head on Tuesday September 8 at 8pm for the project’s 10th Anniversary Showcase.

AMP is an accredited one-year course for people who wish to pursue a career in music. It aims to enhance participants’ skills in order to improve their employment prospects in the music industry and/or facilitate access to higher education.

It is specifically aimed at the long term unemployed who have a basic knowledge, ability and potential in music who would not otherwise avail of such training due to financial constraints. The subjects covered are guitar, percussion, piano, vocals, music theory, sound production and engineering, communications and work experience, all taught by highly accomplished professionals.
