Charity begins in the workplace as companies opt to sample the monster feast

Christmas has always been a time for giving, and now so is October! This year a number of innovative Galway employers have decided to give their employees a party to remember, and help save the lives of hundreds of orphans in the process.

These companies have decided that rather than spending their annual entertainment budget around the festive season, they will instead offer their staff the opportunity to attend the fourth annual Monster Organic Ball, held in Oranmore on Saturday October 11.

Instead of the usual meal followed by drinks at the pub, the employees will enjoy a sumptuous organic banquet, unlimited full free bar and 10 hours of live entertainment, music and dancing. And to add to their enjoyment is the knowledge that for each ticket sold the Irish charity AIDS Partnership with Africa (APA ) is able to transform the lives of 37 children living with the horrendous effects of the AIDS pandemic. Employees can be given the option of being seated with colleagues or with their spouses.

Galway has a long history of generosity and support towards charities, and the Monster Organic Ball is able to donate 100 per cent of their ticket prices to the charity APA thanks to their own sponsors, C&F Tooling Group and Cashla Quarries, John Nash & Associates Loughrea, Curley Holdings, Newell’s Roofing, Liam Madden Nurseries, Ard Precision Engineering, Castle Ceiling & Partitions, Global Group and Mike Burke of Pier Head.

An added benefit of for any ticket-buying company is that due to another generous sponsor, Global Group, the Monster Organic Ball is able to offer anyone purchasing 30 tickets one luxury, four star, all expenses paid holiday to Tenerife, which they can raffle off amongst their employees. So not only will you be celebrating winter festivities this autumn, but you might even end up enjoying a little summer sunshine!
