Inis Mór singer-songwriter set to release new EP later this year

PADRAIG JACK, the Aran Islands singer-songwriter, has just released his new single 'Oiche Gheal', and plays the Róisín Dubh's upstairs bar next week.

Born and raised on Inis Mór, Padraig's music is as influenced by the island's landscape and atmosphere as it is by James Taylor, Van Morrison, Paul Brady and The Eagles. He sings as Gaeilge and in English, and is currently recording his debut EP with John Reynolds (Sinead O’Connor, Damien Dempsey ), due for release in the spring.

Padraig has played the Westport Bluegrass Festival, the Castlebar Wild Atlantic Words Literary Festival, County Down’s Soma Festival, Belfast’s Liú Lúnasa Festival, and Electric Picnic. He has supported The Saw Doctors and Mick Flannery and been nominated for the NÓS Music Award. He won second prize at the 2018 Pan Celtic Song competition for 'i bhFostú sa bhFiántas'.
