ALISON SPITTLE, the star and writer of RTÉ's Nowhere Fast and Culchie Club, and the Tatler Comedian Of The Year, is bringing her new show, Makes A Show Of Herself, to Galway this month.

This is Alison’s follow up to her hit shows, Worrier Princess and Discovers Hawaii, and while she said she is "looking forward to discovering new towns, friendly people, and the fresh delights of the new service stations across the country", she has also "warned her family not to heckle her this time".

The Edinburgh Festival magazine said of the Irishwoman: "What makes Spittle such a unique performer is her truly authentic material. There’s no nonsense with Alison Spittle, no pretence, and when she performs it is truly just her on stage.” The Irish Times has called her "a kind of genius".

Makes A Show Of Herself is at the Town Hall Theatre on Thursday January 31 at 8pm. Support from the hilarious Julie Jay. Tickets are available via 091 - 569777 orwww.tht.ie See also www.alisonspittle.com
