Show Me The Funny returns for 2019

Special guest at first heat is The Savage Eye's John Colleary

SHOW ME The Funny, Ireland's longest running and most wide reaching comedy talent competition, returns for its 12th season at The King's Head this month.

Show Me The Funny is seeking to unearth Ireland's new comedy star, with the first of five consecutive Monday night heats taking place on Monday January 14. Each heat will see eight comedians battle it out, all hoping to win a spot in the grand final. Previous winners and finalists have included Alison Spittle, Kevin McGarhen, Steve Bennett, and Johnny Graham.

The eventual winner will appear at the Comedy Tent at Electric Picnic and recieve a pair of VIP weekend tickets for the picnic itself. The runners up will get slots at the All Together Now Festival and the Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway.

The special guest for the first heat is The Savage Eye's John Colleary. Gerry Mallon is the MC. Admission is €5 and includes a free pint of Bulmers. Doors are at 8pm.
