Three days of two one-act plays

Seamus O'Kelly Players to stage Lucy In The Sky and Thirst Loughrea's Temperance Hall

LUCY IN The Sky, a play about three women meeting for the first time in a homeless shelter in England, is a play with much relevance for Ireland during this period of the State's homeless and accommodation crisis.

Lucy In The Sky will be one of two one-act plays to be staged by the Seamus O'Kelly Players in the Temperance Hall Loughrea this month. The group will also stage Flann O’Brien's Thirst. The latter play takes place at a lock-in in a Dublin pub in the 1940s. The fun appears to be over with the arrival of a garda, but a few tall tales can help extend the night's entertainment.

Performances take place on Thursday October 18, Saturday 20, and Sunday 21 at 8pm. Tickets are €10 from TL O’Brien’s, Main Street, Loughrea, or €12 on the door. For more information call the Seamus O’Kelly Players on 083 - 8633796.
