A new grant package has been announced by Galway company West Coast Insulation, which can now offer customers a grant of €1,123 per property. This new grant covers a significant amount of the cost and West Coast Insulation is recommending homeowners take advantage of the new grant scheme now.
John Folan from West Coast Insulation noted: “The grant scheme ranges from €600 to €1,000 usually but we have been able to secure grants for customers of a very attractive amount of €1,123. This comes directly off the amount so the customers only needs to pay the balance. We will look after the paperwork for the customer making it a great way to get your wall and attic insulation upgraded.”
West Coast Insulation will provide a free quotation to customers and advise them on the most suitable insulation for their home. Once the home is insulated, it will remain warmer all winter and keeps the houses cooler in the summer months.
When insulating a house, the company injects EcoBead Platinum Bonded Bead into the cavity walls even when there is existing insulation. This significantly improves the heat retention and also fills in any gaps in the older insulation. The company installs Knauf and blown Rockwool insulation in the attics of new or existing homes. John Folan said: “Most attics have some existing fibreglass insulation at around 100 to 150mm depth. The problem with fibreglass is that it shrinks over time and needs to be replaced. We install further insulation to over 300mm giving the best u-values possible. We also fit the insulating jackets and lids around the tanks, fit the heavy duty 19mm lagging on the pipes and insulate and draught proof the attics doors to eliminate draughts.”
