Burglary in Ballybane

Last Tuesday a house was broken into in Glasan Village in Ballybane and a quantity of cash was taken.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

High Street robbery

Last Thursday at 2.50am, a business was broken into on High Street in Galway city centre.

A male entered the store through an unsecure window and stole an IPad Pro, Nokia mobile phone, and a quantity of cash.

Bike stolen in Ballybane

On Saturday, between 4pm and 5pm, a burglary took place in Leas Na Coille in Ballybane in Galway.

A shed at the rear of a house was broken into and a silver Trek mountain bike was stolen.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Cash stolen from car

Last Wednesday between 8.15pm and 8.30pm a blue Ford C Max registration 152 G was broken into in Fairhill Road in the Claddagh.

A rucksack containing cash and personal effects was stolen from the back seat .

Anyone with any information in relation to this theft is asked to contact Garda Linda Woodman at Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Criminal damage on Sea Road

On Tuesday night June 12, the front window of a store on Sea Road was damaged.

Anyone who may have witnessed this or has any information is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000.

Number plates stolen on Headford Road

On June 13/14 the number plates to a vehicle were stolen from a car in An Lochan on the Headford Road.

The registration plates were 99 D 23193 and should be on a Green Renault Clio.

Anyone has any information on the theft or observed these number plates on a different vehicle is asked to contact Galway Garda Station on 091-538000 or the nearest Garda station.

Bollards hit in Salthill

Gardai in Salthill wish to speak with anyone who may have witnessed a dark coloured Audi colliding with bollards at the entrance to Pearse Stadium in Salthill on the evening of Friday June 22 at approximately 8.50pm.

The driver left the scene travelling in the Rockbarton Road direction where another vehicle which had been parked sustained damage.

Witnesses to either incident are asked to contact Garda Padraig Monaghan at Salthill Garda Station on 091 514720.

Bogus emails warning

Gardai are asking the public to be vigilant when giving out personal details to unsolicited emails they have received.

No legitimate company or business will request banking and personal details to be sent to it via email.

No matter from who the email pertains to be, including banking institutions and Revenue, the gardai is warning members of the public to never forward on personal and banking details without checking everything out first.

Gardai are advising the public to contact those businesses and use different contact details to those provided in the emails.
