Neil O'Connor's new 'old' album

Gawlay singer-songwriter releases 'some loud, some quiet and some strange' songs

NEIL O'CONNOR, a long standing figure in Galway's music scene, has released a new album, featuring old material that is at long last getting a chance to be heard.

High To Low features 10 tracks, "some loud, some quiet and some strange," according to Neil, who regards it as a prequel to his debut album, Loose Ends. It is available now to stream or download on Spotify, iTunes and all the other major streaming sites.

"These unfinished songs were there long before Loose Ends was released" Neil told the Galway Advertiser. "The songs on the album are basically old tunes that were never heard by many people and never recorded until recently, I believe every song is at least 10 years old, and some are even 20 years old, which is mad. It's like a postcard I'm sending back to the past to old me and to who I used to know."
