Honda powers Monivea’s mini rugby dreams

Monivea RFC was one of the four winners of the Honda ‘Powering Local Dreams Minis’.

As the official car partner of the PRO14 final series, Honda wanted to support local minis rugby in Ireland by giving them the chance to play at half-time at the final of the PRO14 in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday in front of some 50,000 fans and receive a jersey signed by their province's rugby stars.

Honda said there was an overwhelming response to the ‘Play the Final’ competition with many rugby clubs around Ireland submitting a video explaining why they should play at the PRO14 final. Judges whittled down the entries to just three from each province which was then put to a public online vote.

Monivea RFC minis lined out for Connacht, Mullingar RFC U12s represented Leinster, Ballincollig RFC took part on behalf of Munster, and the City of Armagh RFC represented Ulster.
