Christy Moore will play with long-standing musical colleague Declan Sinnott at The Hub at Cillin Hill on July 9 next and tickets for the concert go on sale this Friday.
Members of the Musicians Union of Ireland (MUI) held a protest at the Watergate Theatre in Kilkenny last week where singer Tommy Fleming was performing.
The MUI in a statement said that the protest followed the refusal by Tommy Fleming and his company, TF Productions, to pay fees owed to a musician he contracted to perform with him last year.

With a total of six TDs this means that everyone would get a chance to sit in the back of a government Merc over the life of the current Dail. A TD has to serve only two years as minister to qualify for a pension, so the magnificent half dozen would also qualify for a ministerial pension before getting turfed out at the next election. Even Fianna Fail under Haughey didn’t have the brass neck to come up with such a scheme.
