Your dog is our hero
The Carers Association and Petmania Kilkenny are calling all dog lovers to take part in the Kilkenny leg of The National Dog Walk, which takes place this Easter Monday, April 5.
This exciting event will see thousands of dog-owners around Ireland walking their four-legged friends for charity. The event is a partnership between The Carers Association and Petmania to raise funds to support Ireland's family carers in a way that celebrates the companionship of dogs in family life.
The National Dog Walk, Kilkenny, was launched by Deputy Mayor Marie Fitzpatrick in Kilkenny this week and the message from the Carers Association is simple – “Your Dog is Our Hero!” The 5k sponsored walk will start at 2pm on Easter Monday at Petmania, Kilkenny.
Registration is just €5 for an individual or €10 for a family of up to four and all participants will be asked to raise sponsorship for their dog to take part.
So let the dogs out for a great cause in Kilkenny and join fellow dog lovers from Carlow, Drogheda, Dublin, Limerick, Navan, Portlaoise, Tralee, Tullamore, Waterford, and Wexford.
All funds raised will go directly to The Carers Association.
