19-year-old ‘Comer woman denies brother's murder

The trial of a 19-year old woman charged with murdering her brother opened at the Central Criminal Court, sitting in Waterford yesterday.
Caroline Brennan has pleaded not guilty to the murder of her 22-year-old brother Michael Brennan at Barrack Street, Castlecomer, on 30 December 2008.
Ms Brennan, with an address on Love Lane in Castlecomer, was wearing dark grey trousers and a patterned blouse when she appeared before Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Waterford.
A jury of nine women and three men were sworn in to hear the case which is expected to conlude in the middle of next week.
