Collins McNicholas recognised among best workplaces in Ireland

Collins McNicholas, the Athlone-based national HR and recruitment firm, has been named as one of the Great Places to Work in Ireland in 2017.

This is the company’s third consecutive year to be named as a top Irish workplace, and it was also recognised as the ninth Best Small Workplace in Ireland.

“We are absolutely delighted to be recognised as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row, and to make the top ten Great Places to Work in Ireland for the second year in a row was really special and something we are really proud of,” said Niall Murray, managing director at Collins McNicholas, who congratulated the other companies who achieved the status of Great Place to Work in 2017.

“It is a fantastic endorsement of the excellent employee engagement initiatives that are being worked on throughout the country in a variety of companies big and small and it clearly shows that employee engagement is alive and well not just in the multinationals, but in Irish SMEs as well.”

With six offices in Athlone, Sligo, Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick, Collins McNicholas is the only nationally-based recruitment company headquartered outside of Dublin.

Great Place to Work Ireland which gives awards to companies based on their policies, practices, and employee surveys, has been recognising great workplaces for 15 years.

The assessment survey carried out by the organisation shows that employees at Ireland’s best workplaces report a significantly greater sense of job security than those in peer organisations, with this area achieving a four-year high despite a backdrop of medium-term geopolitical uncertainty.

This level of employee confidence in the face of an uncertain future provides these organisations with a workforce that is engaged, focused on the task at hand, and eager to offer their contribution to future successes.
