Moate Partnership Group is on track to build on the success enjoyed by the Christmas Market in the past two years, with levels of interest at an all-time high as the festive season fast approaches.
The market will take place in Main Street, Moate, on Sunday, December 11, from 3pm to 7pm. Interest is very strong so those interested in booking a stall are being urged to apply now in order to be assured of a place on the day.
Founder and chairman of the market committee, local Independent councillor, Michael O’Brien, said: "People talk about the market right throughout the year. It brings so many people into town on the day, there’s such a great festive and community spirit, and it creates a huge level of economic activity for local traders and stall holders.
"It is much more than a market, with lots of street entertainment to cater for all the family. I would encourage everyone to come along and make it another wonderful festive market experience this year."
Many stalls have already confirmed their place in the market. These will sell a wide range of local produce, fine foods, arts, crafts, jewellery and Christmas gifts. Street entertainment will include live music, carol singing, magic show, fancy dress competition, an amusements area, and face painting.
Added to this, Santa Claus will visit the Christmas Market grotto where he will meet and greet children and give out small gifts. There will be no charge to see Santa.
The closing date for stall applications is November 11. If you are interested in applying log onto Moate Christmas Market Facebook page or email [email protected].
