Solo exhibition by Patrick Graham at Luan Gallery

Lullaby, an exhibition featuring the works of renowned Irish artist, Patrick Graham, opened at Luan Gallery last weekend and will continue until Friday, October 28.

The exhibition, presented in association with Hillsboro Fine Art, includes pieces on loan and new and previously unseen works by Graham and is a landmark show for the Midlands' municipal visual art gallery.

Patrick Graham, a native of Mullingar, is widely regarded as one of Ireland's most influential contemporary artists. His career of more than 40 years features an impressive array of solo exhibitions in Ireland and internationally including America, England, Germany, and Iraq.

A member of Aosdána, Graham is represented by Jack Rutberg Fine Arts in Los Angeles and was the subject of a major exhibition in the US this year curated by the renowned art historian Peter Selz. His works are featured in private and public collections both in Ireland and abroad.

The opening was attended by many artists who took the opportunity to meet Patrick in person and talk to him about his work. Guest speakers included John Daly, director at Hillsboro Fine Art, and Ciarán MacGonigal, arts consultant and cultural strategist. They spoke about Graham's work, his impact on the arts in Ireland, and how he has remained true to his Westmeath roots.

Carmel Duffy, manager at Luan Gallery, said: “We are very proud to be showing the works of one of Ireland’s greatest living artists at Luan Gallery and we believe it is only fitting that the Midlands Municipal gallery pays tribute to one of our own.”

Luan Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm and on Sundays from 12 noon to 5pm. Patrick Graham's exhibition runs until October 28.
