There's a host of entertainment to be had at the Tuar Ard centre in Moate during the rest of the month.

It's not too late to catch John Hogan and The Ryan Turner Band tonight, Thursday October 15, at 8pm. Prince of country music, singer/songwriter John was born in Kilbeggan - some of his best known songs are 'Stepping Stone', 'Turn Back the Years', 'My Feelings For You' and 'Love You More'. John will be performing all his old hits and favourites from the beginning on the night and the show will  feature guest appearances from Carmel Sheerin, Gary Gamble, Bernice Heaney, and Camillus Egerton.

Kildare native Jack Lukeman presents Phantasmagoria on Saturday October 17, at 8pm. One of Ireland’s most respected and best-loved performers, he has been described as “a mixture of all the great voices of the 20th century” (The Guardian ), and few can match his award-winning powerhouse vocals and inventive live shows. In Phantasmagoria, Jack will be giving a potted history of his stunning career to date and will be performing songs from his recent smash hit shows The 27 Club and The Great Wall of China, plus tour and lots of new material from his upcoming album thrown in!

Ciarán Rosney's Country at Heart concert tour comes to Tuar Ard on Thursday October 22, also at 8pm. This has been a very exciting year so far for Ciarán, who hales from Co Offaly. In March he picked up a Country Roots Award at the Irish Farmers Journal awards and in May he released the first single from his second album called 'I wish I was in Nashville'. He recently started to write songs with the legendary Kevin Sheerin who has been a big influence on his musical style. His brother Stephen Rosney and Daniel Boland otherwise known as Roslyn will be providing support along with Frank Raven Mills.

There's Hallowe'en fun at the end of the month when the Abracadabra School for Creative Kids presents an interactive show, The Ghost Story. Aimed at children from 4-9 years old, and lasting for 50 minutes, it tells the story of a ghost who is afraid of ghosts - and doesn't know he's one himself! Children (and their parents! ) can expect to move, sing, interact and become characters in The Ghost Story on Saturday October 24 at 3pm. Individual tickets are €8, family tickets, €30.
