Local boys Pariah play Athlone

Local band Pariah play in Athlone this weekend for the first time since they won the AIT Battle of the Bands in November. You can catch the Athlone three-piece in Copper’s tonight from 10pm as they bring their original brand of rock to a whole new audience.

The two hour set will include a number of songs from the band’s forthcoming debut album, due for release later this year. The guys have been working hard recording a number of tracks for the planned summer release date.

Pariah features Patrick McEvilly on bass/vocals, Stevo Dowling on drums, and Ruari O’Connor on lead guitar.

Upcoming gigs for Pariah include dates in Radio City and Whelan’s in Dublin, while they have recently entertained audiences in The Stables, Mullingar. They have also enjoyed success in the HAM (Highlighting All Music ) and Amateur Generation competitions with their song ‘Sunshine’.

Pariah promise a mix of original tunes and classic rock and pop, with their own unique, rocky twist. With influences as diverse as The Cult, Lamb Of God, Wolfmother, Sabbath, and Zepplin, Pariah are ready to rock out.
