Visitor and residents of Athlone will be able to avail of free parking for the two Saturdays before Christmas.
The council wishes to advise motorists that free car parking will be available in all council public car parks in Athlone town on Saturday December 13 and Saturday December 20.
The council would like to encourage people to avail of these free parking days, and to shop locally and support local businesses this Christmas.
