Keep your family relaxed with homemade massage

Some people think of massage as an indulgence or a luxury. In fact, massage is not a luxury - it is a necessity of everyday life.

If you work in a hard, physically demanding job, the tired muscles and joints need relief. If you spend your day at a desk or driving, the constantly shortened, flexed muscles need lengthening. If you are lying in a bed all day for some reason, your blood flow needs encouragement to deliver oxygen and nutrients to every cell of the body.

If you do not clear the tension in your muscles daily, it will become a weight on your shoulders, pain in the neck, or pain in the lower back or knees.

To achieve this everyday therapy without breaking the bank, AcheBusters Athlone are running a series of ‘homemade massage’ workshops.

This course will focus on ‘homemade massage’ - the loving touch of your spouse kneading your neck after a long day in the office, the feet of your 10-year-old son walking on your back after a day bringing in the turf, or the love of your life combing your hair with his/her fingers to help you sleep.

The human touch has healing power, and anyone can learn basic healing strokes for home use. No experience or equipment are necessary, just a pair of hands and good intentions!

It is recommended for mums, grannies, wives and husbands, brothers and sisters, children of tired parents - everyone who is concerned with their family members’ and friends’ wellbeing.

The price for the course is €200. There will be a class of eight, so call Gyongyi at (089 ) 4133883 to secure your place! See www.achebusters.ie for more information.
