Westmeath at home to Fermanagh in qualifiers

Westmeath have been drawn at home to Fermanagh in round 1 of the All-Ireland qualifiers. Neighbours Offaly got the draw that everyone wanted to avoid as they were drawn at home to Tyrone.

Home advantage is a huge bonus and having seen Fermanagh in action against Cavan last weekend they look very manageable. Peter Canavan’s men didn’t look too threatening up front and I would expect Denis Glennon and co to have too much firepower for the Ulster side. That game will take place on either Saturday June 29 or Sunday June 30.

The full list of round one games is as follows - Carlow v Laois, Longford v Limerick, Galway v Tipperary, Armagh v Wicklow, Derry v Sligo, Offaly v Tyrone, Louth v Antrim, and of course Westmeath v Fermanagh.
