St John’s Community Centre monster auction

St John’s Community Centre Lecarrow, Co Roscommon and committee are pleased to announce their fourth annual monster fundraising auction to take place on Sunday November 11.

Goods in saleable condition are welcome and can be either new or second-hand. Items welcome include working electrical equipment, furniture, services, livestock, vouchers, fuel, bric-a-brac, unwanted gifts, or cash donations. Previous years’ auctions proved to be very successful social events and attracted large crowds on all occasions.

A full catalogue of auction lots will be available prior to the auction and can be viewed by logging onto Facebook and find Property Partners Earley page. Add this page for full updates.

Kevin Coyle of the St John’s Community Centre committee commented “We are very happy with the level of donations for this year’s monster auction at this early stage and we believe that the standard of lots will be far higher than at last year’s event. We are hopeful of an auction in the region of 300-350 lots of good quality items and services, and would ask all patrons to contribute as little or as much as they can for this very worthwhile fundraiser.”

Last year’s all-day auction was so successful that no item was left unsold at the end of the night.

If you would like to donate an auction lot or would like to arrange collection of items for the event, please contact one of the committee members: Kevin (085 ) 1741855; Colin (086 ) 3694795; Owen (087 ) 6688274; or Mai (087 ) 1269982.

The auction will be open with pre-viewing from about noon, and you are advised to arrive early. All lots must sell on the day and will be without reserve. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase on the day and there will be a barbeque for hungry bargain seekers throughout the course of the day.

The auction will be conducted by local men David Diffley of Property Partners Earley Roscommon and David Connaughton.

People wishing to bid at the auction must purchase a bidding number which will cost €3 and is available on entry to the hall.
