Peugeot supports Special Olympics challenge

Peugeot supported ‘Challenge 126’, a charity event in aid of Special Olympics Ireland, which saw two athletes run 126 miles, the equivalent of 5 marathons in one day.

Brian Maher of Spin 103.8 and Mike Sheridan from RTÉ and entertainment.ie set out on their gruelling journey at 7am on Thursday April 26 from Limerick City, led by a convoy of Peugeot 3008s. The sporting duo aimed to arrive on Dublin’s Grafton Street just 30 hours later.

Pushing the limitations of physical and mental endurance, the pair aim edto raise €20,000 for Special Olympics. Speaking about the task at hand Brian and Mike said “We have both taken part in similar challenges before, but Challenge 126 is something else entirely. It will push us to our absolute limits and beyond, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Thanks so much to our supporters and team, who have already made this an incredibly memorable experience. Now let’s raise some serious money for the wonderful people at the Special Olympics!”

Emma Toner, Peugeot Communications Manager told the Advertiser: “Peugeot Ireland is delighted to be involved with Special Olympics and Challenge 126 and is providing three vehicles to the support and film crew for the event. We wish Brian and Mike every success on this gruelling challenge for this great cause.”
