€1million competitive fund for locally trading companies to go global

Enterprise Ireland is calling on companies that are successfully trading in Ireland to apply for funding to explore the potential to export their services and internationalise their business.

The competitive €1million Going Global Fund is specifically designed to support domestically-focused companies to explore and validate market opportunities in a new market or to introduce a new service or product to an existing market.

Grants of up to €25,000, covering up to 50 per cent of eligible costs, are available. The closing date for the first round of applications is June 20. A second call will be issued later in the year, October 3.

Announcing the fund, Marina Donohoe, manager of business and consumer services at Enterprise Ireland said, “Ireland has a host of successful companies selling well-developed, high quality products and services within Ireland. With their strong offerings, such companies have the potential to secure business in overseas markets. This fund is designed to assist such companies to explore and validate their overseas market potential.

“Securing export sales can provide Irish companies with their next wave of growth, boosting sales, and creating additional employment,” Ms Donohoe concluded.
