Local act chosen in national band competition

The line-up of acts has been announced for the inaugural Tiger Untamed band competition, which will see 24 acts from all over the country doing battle in Mullingar's Annebrook House Hotel.

Following hundreds of submissions, the judging panel chose Crimson and Seven Days from Westmeath as two of the 24 finalists. Crimson and Seven Days will take to the stage tonight, Friday March 19 and Friday April 30 respectively and are calling on their local fans to show their support on the night.

Music fans from across the country are expected to converge on Mullingar over the next few months for what promises to be an all-out rock 'n' roll extravaganza. Up for grabs is a prize package worth over €20,000 including a cash prize of €5,000, recording time in the Nutshed Studio, €6,000 worth of equipment from Music Maker, a professional photo-session courtesy of FINNimaje, a video shoot, and coverage in Hot Press.
