Athlone Musical Society set to ‘jazz’ as Chicago show rehearsals continue

Athlone Musical Society are thrilled to stage their 2019 production 'Chicago' from March 2-9 in the Dean Crowe Theatre Athlone, with the company's production being the midlands premier of the much loved musical.

The show has dazzled audiences on Broadway and in the west end for years, with many famous faces from across the globe passing through the cast.

Athlone MS have pulled off quite a coup to bring this show to the midlands as the rights have been most sought after by many a musical society nationally.

Preparations are in full swing with Musical Director, Alfie Kilduff together with his production team, MD Ger Madden and Choreographer Lea Carroll, putting their own spin on the popular show.

A story of love, murder, revenge and media storms will play out before an expectant Athlone and midlands audience when the stage curtains part on opening night.

With book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse and music by John Kander, this show is sure to thrill audiences of all ages.
